Descripción
Objetivo: Conseguir ser la reina de las fiestas.
Modo: -
Lugar: Mave
Año tras año (verano tras verano) Momu veía truncadas sus
ilusiones de ser la reina de las fiestas de Mave1. Al encontrar una alarmante
nota en la prensa2 se dio cuenta de que el tiempo no pasa en vano y que sus
posibilidades estaban a punto de agotarse. Ya fuera porque se hacía mayor,
o por que en Mave no existía reina, por que no era autóctona o
por que allí vive una guapa modelo con muchos más puntos. Momu
quería esa mención. ¿Con qué contaba para conseguirla?
Pues con agasajar a la Alcaldesa, poniéndole el nombre del pueblo a una
estrella comprada en Internet, en www.globalstarregistry.org3, y en el caso
que no fuesen bien las negociaciones echaría mano del ya tradicional
e infalible jamón serrano pata negra 5 jotas4 metido dentro de un bonito
globo con un fino lazo.
No obstante Momu & No Es conscientes de la posibilidad que la alcaldesa
no quisiera constituir por vez primera una reina de las fiestas -lo que supondría
que No Es se quedaría sin ser la dama de honor5- tenían preparada
una alternativa, un plan B; Sacar su infalible disfraz de Pulpo6 para ganar
el premio y correspondiente trofeo en el éste sí instaurado y
consolidado concurso de disfraces de las Dianas. Plan A o B las llevaría
a conseguir la foto de estudio inmortalizadora de sus logros.
El 9 de agosto Momu ha sido coronada Reina Zalamera en Mave (Palencia).

…Momu, muy agradecida y sin apenas poder contener su emoción, leyó
un breve discurso comprometiéndose a promocionar Mave y a sus gentes
tanto a nivel nacional como internacional. Como agradecimiento entregó
a continuación a la alcaldesa de parte de Momu & No Es el documento
acreditativo de las coordenadas de la estrella que de ahora en adelante brillará
en el firmamento con el nombre de Mave, y a la cual se le ha adjudicado el nombre
de esta localidad palentina en el Registro de Estrellas de la Agencia Espacial
de los EEUU… la multitud abarrotaba la era…
El 11 de agosto No Es ha sido galardonada con el primer premio del concurso
de disfraces de las Dianas de Mave (Palencia).

… con motivo de las tradicionales Dianas, la reina y su pulpo participaron
recaudando el dinero que contribuye a la sufragación de las Fiestas...
A las 21h la Alcaldesa con la ayuda de la Reina entregó el primer premio
de disfraces al Pulpo…
La estrella con el nombre de Mave (comprando una estrella te regalan un llavero
con las indicaciones de donde está), el Pulpo, el Fotógrafo de
estudio y el desenlace final constituyen un proyecto abierto articulado a partir
de alternativas y despliegue de planes donde la constante presencia de sinistro
y frustración late en la trama de unos hechos múltiples que confluyeron
y confluyen en las personas de Momu & No Es.

ENGLISH VERSION
Description
Goal: Become Town Queen.
How: -
Place: Mave, Spain.
Every year (during summer) Momu would see her dream, becoming the Town Queen
of Mave1, slip away. When she found a shocking article on the news paper2 she
realized that time does go by and that her chance was about to expire. That
being either because she was getting older, or Mave not having the tradition
of the Town Queen as many other spanish towns do. Two more facts: she wasn’t
born there, a beautiful model lives there, and she’s much more popular.
Momu deffinetly wanted that title, but what did she had in her to get it? She
had it in her to bribe the town’s Mayor by buying a star on the internet
(www.globalstarregistry.org3) and naming it after the village. If the negotiations
did not go well, she would take advantage of the typical and fail proof jamón
serrano pata negra 5 jotas4 wrapped inside a pretty balloon with a fine ribbon
on top.
In any case, Momu & No were aware of the possibility that the Mayor would
not cave and arrange the first Town Queen party –that would represent
that No Es could not be Momu’s Bride’s made5-. And they had an alternative,
a plan B; Take out their failsafe Octopus’ costume6 to win the corresponding
prize in the consolidated and existent costume contest of the Dianas. Plan A
or B would allow them to make a studio photograph to immortalise their achievements.
On August 9th Momu was crowned Zalamera Town Queen of Mave (Palencia, Spain).

…Momu, very thankful and barely able to keep fro bursting with emotions,
read a brief speech with the promise to promote Mave and it’s people all
around Spain and abroad. As a gesture she presented the Mayor, in Momu &
No Es’ name, with the credited document of the coordinates of the star
that from now on will shine on the firmament with the name of Mave, title that
has been credited with such palentian name in the Global Star Registry…The
town’s square was fully crowded.
On August 11th No Es was presented with the First Prize of the Costume Contest
of the Dianas of Mave (Palencia, Spain).
-chronicle of the event-
… with the motive of the traditional Dianas, the queen and her octopus
took part collecting founds that contribute to the Fiestas budget. At 9 P.M.
the Mayor, with the help of the Queen, handed the Costume Contest’s First
Prize to the Octopus (No Es).
The star bearing Mave’s name (when a star is bought a key ring with indications
to the whereabout of the star is handed to the costumer), the Octopus, the Studio
Photographer and the happy ending constitute an open project articulated from
alternatives and a display of plans in presence of the sinister, and beating
frustration inside a plot of multiple actions that Momu & No Es are.
