Intervenciones públicas en el barrio de Highland Park, y el centro de Los Angeles. Hay tres mapas bordados: de Highland Park, Los Angeles, y California. Usando hilo y aguja, los participantes marcan lugares que han cambiado en la última década, sitios de acontecimientos importantes, y de momentos personales y significativos.-------------------Public interventions in the neighborhood of Highland Park, and in the center of Los Angeles. There are three embroidered maps: Highland Park, Los Angeles, and California. Using needle and thread, participants mark places which have changed over the last decade, places where important events have occurred, or where a significant moment in their life happened.

La instalación participativa consiste en retomar la casa y el simbolismo de sus objetos/muebles como punto de partida para hacer un cuestionamiento de los cambios que ahora imperan en los diferentes territorios y escalas donde se establece el ser humano. Específicamente, los visitantes pueden marcar sus opiniones y relaciones con lugares usando hilos. --------------------The participatory installation consists of taking the home and the symbolism or meaning of its furniture as a point of departure to questioning the changes which are taking place in the different human territories. More specifically, the participants can mark their opinions and relations with places using threads.

Es la tercera fase de un proyecto más amplio, Urban Fabric, que también tuvo lugar en Barcelona, Nueva York, y que se hará en Marruecos y Ecuador.-------Public interventions in which the artist brought an embroidered map of the center of Bangalore, a southern Indian city, to 10 sites in that city. Members of the public participated by marking answers to questions into the map, using needle and thread, and also embroidered freely onto the edges of the cloth. It is the third phase of a larger project, Urban Fabric, which has also taken place in Barcelona and New York City, and which will happen as well in Morocco and Ecuador later this year.

Proyecto en el cuál los artistas recogieron historias contadas por "Romanos" que viven en diferentes lugares del mundo que se llaman "Roma" o "Rome." Los cuentos hablan de situaciones personales o históricos en los "Romas"de Australia, Africa, Asia, América del Norte, América del Sur, y Europa. Los cuentos fueron escuchados a través de un camino de bicicleta por el río Tevere en Roma, Italia, y también se pueden escuchar a la web del proyecto: www.rebuildingrome.com. -----------Project in which the artists collected stories written by "Romans" who live in different places called Rome, or Roma, throughout the world. The stories described personal or historical situations in these faraway Romes of Australia, Africa, Asia, North America, South America, and Europe. These stories were listened to along a bike path on the Tiber River in Rome,Italy, and can also be heard on the project´s website: www.rebuildingrome.com.

Esta instalación es la interpretación subjetiva del artista de la relación entre los comisarios y los artistas. La información que se representa tiene su origen en las respuestas a un cuestionario que el colectivo de comisarias "la Pinta" envió a diversas personas en activo en el mundo del arte. El artista reelaboró la información, y creó un tipo de cartografía abstracta que se duplica como un cuadro estadístico .--------This installation is the artist´s subjective interpretation of the relationship between curators and artists. The information represented was gleaned from the responses to a questionnaire that the curatorial group "la Pinta" sent to people active in the artworld. The artist worked with this information to make a type of abstract cartography which doubles as a statistical chart.

Proyecto en el cuál el público del pueblo el Prat de Llobregat participaba en varias intervenciones públicas. Opinaban sobre un mapa gigante de su pueblo usando simbología del cuerpo humano. Despues, en una exposición en la Sala d´Art Josep Bages de la Torre Muntadas, so mostraba los resultados gráficos y textuales, el mapa con todas las pegatinas, y un video de entrevistas con los participantes.--------Project in which the public of the town of el Prat de Llobregat participated in various public interventions. They marked their opinions on a gigante map of their town, using anatomical symbology. Afterwards, in an exhibition in the Sala d´Art Josep Bages of the Torre Muntadas, the map with all of its stickers, the graphic and textual results, and a video of interviews of the participants was shown.

Instalación participativa hecha para la feria de arte alternativa UND #2. El público marcó lugares sobre un mapa de Karlsruhe con números que correspondían con diferentes maletas. Cada maleta fue enviada por un artista en Barcelona y contenía objetos variados. Hemos describido entonces cada maleta como descripciones de lugares, y los participantes elegían cuál lugar en la ciudad correspondía con los contenidos de cada maleta.---------Participatory installation done for the alternative art fair UND #2. The public marked places on a map of Karlsruhe with numbers which corresponded to different suitcases. These suitcases were all sent with us by different artists in Barcelona, and each had different contents, from which we assigned them different meanings. The participants chose which suitcases´contents corresponded to different places in their city.

Exposición de artistas y arquitectos llamado "Mitgeres (Medianeras)". Expusé estas piezas hechas de ladrillos encontrados en las bolsas de escombros de Barcelona. Encima de cada ladrillo hay una imagen de una medianera. Sugieren la memoria de los aquellos espacios en Barcelona, una ciudad al medio de un proceso de construcción y derribo. Los ladrillos están presentados como piezas arqueológicas.-------Exhibition of artists and architects called "Mitgeres". I showed these pieces which are bricks found in the bags which contain remnants of demolished buildings in Barcelona. On each brick is an image of one of the remaining walls. They suggest the memory of those spaces in Barcelona, a city in the process of constant construction and deconstruction. The bricks are presented as archaeological pieces.

Unían sus puntos con hilo, y ataban sus nombres al final.------------Interactive installation in which the participants marked responses to sociocultural questions on maps of various scales, using different-colored pins and stickers. They also united their significant points with thread, and attached a paper with their name at the end of thread.

Se trata de los derribos constantes en la ciudad, y la pérdida de materiales "arqueológicas" (papel pintado antiguo, ladrillos, etc.) que es parte del resultado. En esta muestra, memorias de espacios privados son reconstruidas, y el imaginario del urbano se sitúa en un lugar entre el sueño, la añoranza, y la realidad inmobiliaria.------------The theme is the constant demolition of the city, and the loss of "arqueological" material (wallpaper, bricks) that results. In this show, memories of private spaces are reconstructed, and the urban vision that remains can be found somewhere between a dream, nostalgic longing, and the reality of real estate´s transformation of the city.

Every body part symbolized either a positive or a negative fact about the neighborhood.

Exposición en la cuál cada artista intervenía durante una semana, y invitaba a la proxima artista, quién intervenía y manipulaba la instalación anterior. La obra de Margarita Pineda era los planos de casa dibujados en la pared, y la obra de Liz Kueneke (muebles de papel y caminos de papel pintado) vino despues.------------- Exhibition in which each artist intervened in the space for one week, and then invited the next artist to intervene on and manipulate in the previous work. The work of Margarita Pineda was the floor plans which were scraped into the wall, and the work of Liz Kueneke (mini paper furniture and pathways of wallpaper) came afterwards.
