Es práctica común en la industria del video clip el manipular el ritmo de las escenas de baile; los músicos bailan al ritmo de una versión acelerada de su propio tema, que más tarde es ralentizado en edición de manera que sus movimientos parecen más fluidos y sexies.

El descubrimiento de este hecho tan obvio me llevó a reeditar las secuencias coreográdicas del video “Back For Good” (1995) de Take That, gran éxito de la banda “manufacturada” por excelencia. Realicé dos ediciones del mismo video clip en el que unas velocidad de baile y ritmo musical más naturales fueran acorde.

Ambos demostraron que esta búsqueda, el paso atrás en edición, es imposible.

It is common practice in the music video industry to manipulate the rhythm of the dance scenes; the artists dance to an accelerated version of the tune which is later on slowed down when edited so that their moves show more fluent.

This discovery of an obvious fact led me to reedit the choreographic sequences of Take That's "Back For Good" (1995). I created two version of the video in an attempt to discover a "true" relationship between a natural dancing and singing rhythms.

Both attempts proved that this step backwards is not possible.
